The Island explores proportion through deliberate emptiness. A sculptural specimen is positioned strongly off-center, occupying only a small portion of an elongated landscape. Pale mineral ground and a single weathered stone extend the composition horizontally, creating a sense of distance, stillness, and isolation. Rather than filling the vessel, the composition allows unoccupied ground to carry visual weight.
